ADF proposes employee quarters near Wildwood
House would used for international employees
NEBRASKA CITY – City commissioners gave first reading Tuesday for a Sylvan Road zoning change that would allow multiple family residential near the Lied Lodge and Conference Center and Wildwood Park.
Austin Mackrill of Arbor Day Farm said up to five employees would live at the residence. He said the zoning change would permit a boarding house and additional parking. The existing barn would be used to store equipment.
The house is currently owned by Rod and Cindy Edwards. Cindy Edwards said they are planning to downsize with a residence nearby and she is confident that Arbor Day Farm will improve the property.
With two commissioners absent, Mayor Bryan Bequette said all the city council could do Tuesday was give the zoning change a first reading.
