OMAHA/VALLEY-According the National Weather Service Severe storms seem likely late Tuesday afternoon through the evening across the region.
Much of the area is in an enhanced risk of severe storms. All modes are possible, including isolated tornadoes, very large hail, and damaging winds. Best timing still looks like 6pm to midnight, but there's also a small chance isolated storms could develop in northeast NE 4-6 pm.
In expectation of the severe weather, the National Weather Service advises the following:
1). Have a plan just in case you need to seek shelter. Plans are free and can sure be useful in a stressful situation!
2). The big forecast question right now is how early storms develop. The most severe outcome would be if isolated storms are able to fire in the early evening and stay out ahead of the front. The "best" case (but still severe) would be if early storms hold off and a solid line develops after 9 PM. Both options would bring severe storms to *parts* of the forecast area.
