FALLS CITY – Dawn Hasley, 41, of Falls City was sentenced to 18 months probation Monday for what Deputy Richardson County Attorney Samantha Scheitel described as an attempt to sell drugs.

Hasley was initially charged with delivery of methamphetamine, but Scheitel said it turns out she had no meth to sell.

Scheitel: “She did attempt to sell drugs to the individual and, while there were no drugs on this occasion, he had received drugs in prior occasions.”

Hasley told Judge Julie Smith that the drug narrative is not true.

Hasley: “I’ve been charged for something I didn’t do. Drugs were not even involved. I’m really upset by this.”

Hasley earlier entered a no contest plea to the misdemeanor charge.

The arrest affidavit had been sealed by the county court.

Scheitel said Hasley will benefit from support services offered by probation.
