City approves 'Walk A Mile In Her Shoes' event
Keep Nebraska City Beautiful plans Great American Cleanup event

NEBRASKA CITY – City commissioners approved a “Walk A Mile in Her Shoes” event on Central Avenue and Great American Cleanup events.
Project Response is sponsoring a “Walk A Mile in Her Shoes” event for sexual assault awareness from 1 to 3 p.m. on April 23. Sidewalks from Sixth to 16th Streets on Central Avenue will be used.
Keep Nebraska City Beautiful is asking to use the sunken parking lot on Central Avenue to host a roll-off dumpster for the Great American Clean-up 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on April 27.
Keep Nebraska City Beautiful will also host an electronics recycling event at the Rowe Safety Building parking lot from 9 a.m. to noon on April 16.
In other action, city commissioners authorized City Administrator Lou Leone to scheduled town hall meetings regarding the use of American Recovery Plan funds.
