Syracuse firefighters respond to combine fire
Third fire truck detained by coal train
SYRACUSE - Syracuse volunteer firefighters responded to a call at 3 p.m. Sunday south of 34th and J roads.
Andrew Vogt was combining beans when he noticed smoke and flames were coming from the combine. Vogt drove the combine to a nearby pasture.
Firefighters with two trucks brought the fire under control. A third truck was detained at the railroad tracks for the passing of a coal train.
