Plea entered in crash into pothole crew
Nebraska City street department worker hit last February while repairing 11th Street potholes

NEBRASKA CITY – Kyra Ford, 20, of Nebraska City entered pleas in district court Monday related to a Feb. 23 traffic accident where a Nebraska City street worker was injured.
In a plea agreement, Ford was charged with reckless driving and attempted possession of aprazolam.
Otoe County Attorney Jennifer Panko-Rahe said witnesses told police that Ford was driving erratically when she struck the pothole repair equipment and the worker, Bruce Yott.
A second worker was able to avoid being hit by spinning out of the path of the car.
Police said Ford appeared to be impaired and a search of her purse yielded aprazolam, commonly known as the depressant Xanax.
A presentence investigation was ordered.
