SIDNEY – An Interstate 29 traffic stop Tuesday resulted in the recovery of a stolen vehicle and citation of an Papillion woman for excessive number of passengers.

A Fremont County Sheriff’s Office press release says Emma Faith Smith, 18, is suspected of operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, interference with official acts, possession of marijuana and several traffic offenses.

A sheriff’s office K9 unit stopped a Honda Civic and learned the car had been reported stolen out of Papillion. The Iowa State Patrol assisted in the case.
