NEBRASKA CITY - CHI Health is launching “Operation White Lights” to honor care givers during the pandemic.
The statewide movement encourages public displays of white ribbons and white lights in support of health care workers.
Dr. Dan DeFreece of CHI Health St. Mary’s said the community has been supportive and asked what they can for the front-line workers.
He said health care workers will have a busy Christmas with a surge in cases, so Operation White Lights is a way to show support and bring the community closer together.
White lights and white bows are placed in homes, businesses, car antennas and clothing through the end of the year at 14 CHI Health hospitals.
