Fire Ravages 18th Street House
Sole occupant was not at home during fire
NEBRASKA CITY – Fire ravaged a Nebraska City house Sunday morning, but no one was home.
Firefighters were dispatched at 8:30 a.m. to 521 N. 18th St. and worked to contain a blaze that is thought to have started on the front porch and eventually reached roof rafters.

County records say the house, which was built in 1930, is owned by Lelena Carrizosa. Neighbors said she had not been staying at the house over the weekend.
Dunbar provided mutual aid.
