Deputy Says Norfolk Man Driving At 99 MPH Had Meth In His Pocket

Johnson County K9 indicates to drugs after traffic stop near Tecumseh

 TECUMSEH – A traffic stop by a sergeant with the Johnson County’s Sheriff’s Office and the K9 Norra resulted in a meth arrest on May 30.

Monte Sorrells, 34, of Norfolk is charged was possession.

An arrest affidavit says the sergeant noticed a Ford Crown Victoria on Highway 41 without any license plates. The deputy reported that he used radar to clock the car at 99 mph.

He told the court that the K9 Norra indicated to the driver’s side of the car and meth was found in the driver’s pocket.
