Scottsbluff police vehicle involved in accident while responding to stolen vehicle call

Minor injuries were reported in an accident involving a Scottsbluff police patrol vehicle Saturday afternoon.

SCOTTSBLUFF - Minor injuries were reported in an accident involving a Scottsbluff police patrol vehicle Saturday afternoon.

The accident happened when police were responding to a stolen vehicle call at approximately 5 p.m. The Ford Explorer patrol vehicle was southbound on Broadway when it collided with a westbound 2020 Ford F-150 on 20th St. Both vehicles had to be towed from the intersection.

The accident is being investigated by the Nebraska State Patrol. The Scotts Bluff Sheriff Department, Scottsbluff Fire Department and Valley Ambulance assisted in the response.
