Man Suspected Of Shooting His Teenage Son After Family Disturbance At Louisville

16-year-old listed in serious, but stable condition on Monday

LOUISVILLE – Cass County Sheriff William  Brueggemann reports a shooting following a family disturbance at East Park Highway at Louisville on Monday.

A sheriff’s office press release says a deputy had de-escalated a verbal disturbance involving a 16-year-old boy and his parents and was traveling to the Cass County Attorney’s office to discuss options regarding a child removal from the residence.

Deputies were summoned back to the residence about 11 minutes later on a report of a shooting incident.

The press release says 53-year-old Clarence Moxey is suspected of shooting his son with a small caliber handgun.

The teen  was transported to Bergan Mercy hospital, Omaha via Lifenet.

On Monday afternoon, his condition was serious, but stable.

Moxey was arrested for suspicion of felony assault with a firearm.
