Nehawka Man Accidentally Shoots Leg
Sheriff says Nehawka Rescue transports man to hospital with non-life threatening injuries
NEHAWKA - Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann reports a firearms accident Sunday night near 54th Street in rural Nehawka.
A sheriff's office press release says Jacob Huckleberry, 24, of Nehawka was trying to clean his .38 revolver when the firearm discharged.
Huckleberry was shot in the leg. The bullet traveled through his leg and struck his recliner.
Huckleberry was transported by Nehawka Rescue to Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha for non-life threatening injuries.
