Provisional Ballots Tip Balance Against Humboldt Sales Tax
Richardson County releases final, unofficial results from primary election

FALLS CITY – The Richardson County Election Office has released results of the primary election Tuesday that includes provisional ballots taking at polling places.
With the provisional ballots counted, the Humboldt sales tax proposals has failed on a vote of 140 against and 138 in favor.
The vote was at a tie at the close of polls Tuesday, but there were three provisional ballots that were cast.
For the district 2 seat on the county board, voters favored the re-election of David Sickel with 346 votes. Jonathan Kirkendall received 129 and Les Baker 121.
For district 3 county board, Rick Karas prevailed with 377 votes. Incumbent Terry Frank had 307.
