NC Health Board Rolls Back Ban On Hair Salons To Coincide With State's May 4 Date
State health directives expected for 19 health districts

NEBRASKA CITY - The Nebraska City Health Board amended its directed health measure to harmonize with the state to rollback some restrictions on May 4.
A statewide DHM expires Monday, May 4, but Nebraska City had a ban on hair salons that went through May 6. The health board voted Monday for the May 4 rollback.
City Attorney Drew Graham said the state is planning to issue a new DHM for each of the state’s 19 health districts.
The state DHM is allowing places of worship to open after May 4 with the stipulations that there is no passing of items between worshipers and the six-foot distance is maintained between family units.
The state DHM will also allow dine-in customers at restaurants, as long as the restaurant does not exceed 50 percent of its capacity, there are no groups over six and the six-foot distance is maintained.
Also, the May 4 rollback allows childcare facilities expand to allow 15 children in each room.
Bars, movie theaters, playhouses are closed through May 31.
Grant Brueggemann hopes to have counties signed off on the ability of a public health DHM by Monday, so a more restrictive DHM could be ordered, if there is a need. Otherwise, he said, the district will stay on board with what the state is issuing.
