Nominations Sought For Arbor Day Honorees
Nomination deadline is March 27 for Arbor Day Honoree and Tree Planter of the Year
By News Channel NebraskaNEBRASKA CITY – Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce is seeking nominations for the 2020 Arbor Day Honoree and Tree Planter of the Year.
The Arbor Day Honoree is given to an individual or group who has contributed their time and talents to making Nebraska City a better place to live. They exemplify the spirit of J. Sterling Morton with their generosity, vision, compassion and courage.
The Tree Planter of the Year is given to an individual or group who promotes tree planting, conservation and care in the Nebraska City area.
Nominations are due by Friday, March 27.
The award recipients are recognized at the commemorative tree planting program on Friday, April 24, and ride in the Arbor Day Parade on April 25.
