Snowy Ride For Talmage Woman In Labor
Nebraska City rescue provides mutual aid to Talmage
NEBRASKA CITY – This morning’s snowfall greeted a Nebraska City Rescue call where a woman was reported in active labor.
Nebraska City Fire and Rescue provided mutual aid to Talmage at 6:42 a.m. for a 22-year-old.
By the time the rescue squad was taking the expectant mother to CHI Health St. Mary’s in Nebraska City, Highway 128 was covered with snow.
The rescue squad and patients arrived safely at the hospital.
The area is not listed in any winter weather advisories this morning, but the Nebraska State Patrol is reporting slide offs on the Interstate.
An ice jam on the Elkhorn River between Scribner and West Point is growing in size since Monday. A flood advisory is issued for portions of Douglas County.
