Kiwanis Invite Public For Journey To Recovery At Hamburg's Popcorn Day Celebration

Theme is Not All Heroes Wear Capes

HAMBURG – Hamburg Popcorn Day will celebrate 58 years on Sept. 7 with the theme “Not All Heroes Wear Capes.”

Hamburg Kiwanis invite the public to recognize volunteer heroes and join the city for a day on its journey to recovery.

Events include market in the park, balloon lady, alumni banquet and teen dance in front of city hall.

The kiddie parade is at 12:30 and the grand parade is at 1  p.m. on Saturday.

The Southeast Nebraska Band will play at the park at 2 p.m.

Schedule of events:

8 a.m.  Show and Shine on F St.

9 a.m. Market in Park at the park

9 a.m. Slow pitch softball at Clayton Field

10 a.m. Balloon lady

11 a.m. Awards and recognition at Main Street stage

12:30 p.m. Kiddie Parade

1 p.m.  Grand Parade

2 p.m. Peddle Pull

2 p.m. Southeast Nebraska Band at the Park

2 p.m. Bounce house

5 p.m. Karaoke on Main Street

6 p.m. Alumni banquet at Marine Simons Elementary School

8 p.m. Teen dance on Main Street
