Highway 2 Opens Thursday Evening at Nebraska City

The Iowa Department of Transportation announced Thursday evening that Highway 2 between Nebraska City and Interstate 29 is open.

Traffic will use the westbound lanes in a head-to-head pattern until work begins on a long-term solution to address flooding issues.

Levee re-alignment and construction of an overflow bridge is expected to be complete in spring of 2020.
