FALLS CITY, NE - The Nebraska City basketball teams snared a pair of wins over the Falls City Tigers on the road Tuesday, as heard on B103.

The Pioneer ladies started the night with a 44-30 win. Each team struggled at the free throw line, going an equal 6/16 there. NC hit only 4/28 from downtown, but they did enough inside to grab the victory. Lexi Brown led the Pioneers with 17 points, ten rebounds, and four steals. Kensie Briley helped out with ten points - all in the first half. Freshman Brynna Glathar led the Tigers with nine points, all coming from 3-point land. Carlea Dunkhas chipped in with eight - all in the first half - while owning the glass with 18 rebounds. Falls City is now 1-8 on the season, while Nebraska City sits at 4-6.

In the nightcap, the NC boys jumped out to a 28-7 lead at halftime and cruised to a 56-27 victory. Falls City went 0/3 at the free throw line & 3/17 from long distance, while committing 29 turnovers in the loss. Caleb Walked led the Pioneers with 20 points, while Kaiden Klassen added 13. Ethan Morris had a team-best eight points & nine rebounds for the host squad. FC is now 1-8 this season, while NC is 5-5.

Next up for the Pioneers is a home doubleheader Thursday against Ashland-Greenwood, while the Tigers will host Lourdes Central Catholic on Friday.
