GoodLife Agriculture offering 'founders batch'

NEBRASKA CITY- GoodLife Agriculture is offering its inaugural batch of salmon filets ahead of construction of a $250 million salmon farm at Nebraska City.
Project Manager John Humphrey told city commissioners Monday said Atlantic salmon from Norway is being imported for a test.
The salmon is expected to be flown into Boston and taken to Rochester, N.Y., where the fish will be fileted. They will be trucked to Nebraska City for online orders under the founder’s batch offer.
Humphrey: “That’s a test in a way to make sure we can do what we say we can do. Investors want to look at a proof, right? That we can do what we say we can do.”
The fish are expected to be heading to Nebraska City on Jan. 27.
Humphrey also told city commissioners about paving plans, including north 22nd Street to from G Road to the transfer station.
The company announced in January the merger of Nebraska Vegetable and Protein into GoodLife Agriculture.
