Palmyra & Auburn Split Friday Night Hoops Doubleheader

AUBURN, NE - The Auburn Bulldogs hosted the Palmyra Panthers for a Friday night basketball doubleheader and finished with a split in the two games, as heard on B103.
In the opener, Palmyra built a 17-7 by halftime and cruised to a 37-26 win. The Panthers got eleven points apiece from Grace Green and Kenli Peterson. Auburn's leading scorers were Ella Swanson & Emery Snodgrass with six each. Auburn fell to 2-8 on the season, while Palmyra improved to 6-5.
The boys game saw Auburn leap ahead early, ending the opening frame with a 17-3 lead and never looking back. The Bulldogs hit 5/8 from downtown in the game. Auburn was led by the 17 points of Ryan Guenther, while Creighton Keeling hit for 14. Palmyra's Harrison Boyt led his squad with a dozen. Auburn is now 7-1 on the season, while Palmyra sits at 5-6.
Next up for Auburn is a trip to Neb. City to face Lourdes Central Catholic on Tuesday, while the MUDECAS Tournament awaits Palmyra.
