NEBRASKA CITY- Steamboat Trace Trail advocates held year’s end events with bonfires, hotdogs and smores at trailheads at Nebraska City, Peru and Brownville.

The trailhead at Nebraska City is new this year. It was moved south from the former location to be within sight of the trail’s beginning.

2025 also saw work at trailheads at Peru and Brownville.

The trail is closed during the late antlerless firearm deer season, which runs to Jan. 15.
