David F. Dunekacke, age 86 of Johnson, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society-Auburn.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law Amy and Darren Oestmann of Johnson, Anne and Tanner Parde of O’Dell; grandchildren Julia (John) Lambert, Emily (Cameron) Ebbers, Alexia Brollini, David Parde, and Madeline Parde; great-grandchildren August and Findlay Lambert; sister Mary Ann (Dennis) Johnson of Maple Plain, MN; brother Lee (Mary Lou) Dunekacke of Johnson; sister-in-law Karen Dunekacke of Fairbury; nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be Saturday, December 27, 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Johnson.  A private family committal service and burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be on Friday, the 26th, noon to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with family greeting friends 5:00 to 7:00.

Memorials are suggested to American Legion Post #330 of Johnson.
