Charles "Chuck" Larson
Charles J. “Chuck” Larson, age 73 of rural Sidney, IA passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg, IA.
Charles Joseph Larson was born on December 19, 1950 in Des Moines, IA; the son of Leonard A. and Norma (Sloan) Larson. He grew up and attended school in Des Moines, graduating from Des Moines East High School with the Class of 1969.
He was united in marriage to Twila K. (Burch) Jones on September 11, 1993 in Shenandoah, IA at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Chuck was an electrician with a double journeyman license. He worked for MidAmerican Energy for 44 years before retiring. He belonged to the I.B.E.W. Union. He formerly served as a County Supervisor for Fremont County and owned/operated Hot Country with CJ, a disc jockey service. Chuck was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Shenandoah, IA.
He is survived by his wife Twila Larson of rural Sidney, IA; children: Tiffany Filloon of Des Moines, IA, Rodney Larson of Des Moines, IA, Jason C. Bonnes and wife Gayle of Grand Island, NE and Andrew B. Jones of Tabor, IA; eight grandchildren: Cole, Jack, Willow, Kumora, Kaleb, Jordan, Jaysa and Gabrielle; sister Jeannie (Grover) of Des Moines, IA; other family and friends.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, sister Susan and granddaughter Mackenzy.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at the Rash-Gude Funeral Home in Hamburg, IA.
