Tammie Lynn (Cole) Jarvis was born on July 28, 1959 to Eldred and Margaret (Wion) Cole in Redding, Iowa.  Tammie was the youngest of six children: Kay, Johnny, Karen, Terry, and Pam.  Tammie graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1977.

After high school, Tammie moved to Des Moines, Iowa.  In 1978, she began her 40 years of dedication to Quik Trip Corporation.  She later transferred to the main office in Olathe, Kansas.

In 1994, Tammie married the love of her life, Michael Jarvis.  The two were not only committed to their love for each other, but also to the love of their fur children as well.  They were totally devoted to their puppies Sparky, Sammy, Rosco, Coco, Jesse, and Obi.  Tammie was very proud of the life she and Michael made together.  Their shared love of dogs, horses, and motorcycles kept them busy.    They also enjoyed going to Kansas City Chiefs and Royals games.  Sadly, Michael passed away in 2016.

In July 2019, Tammie retired from Quik Trip and also retired her calculator.  She literally retired it!  She blew it up in a nearby field!  In June 2022, Tammie moved to Sidney, Iowa to be closer to family.  She was the life of any celebration and loved her family and her friends whole-heartedly.

Tammie entered into Heaven on November 30, 2024, after a brief illness.  Tammie’s passing has definitely left a mark on all those who knew and loved her.  Tammie is survived by sisters Karen Kesterson and Pam Thomas, brother-in-law Mic Kesterson, nieces and nephews Jodie (Dave) West, Kevin Auten, Angie (Mitch) Hennigar, Amy (Greg) Beckwith, Natalie Cole, Kim (Robert) Reed, Scott (Mary) Kesterson, Terri (Aron) Peetz, Jeremy Cole and families as well as countless friends.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Highland Memory Garden Cemetery in Des Moines, IA.
