POTTER, NE - Travelers heading eastbound on Interstate 80 hit a bit of a snag in the Panhandle early Friday afternoon. 

According to Nebraska 511, eastbound I-80 between Potter and Brownson, about a 10 mile stretch, closed Friday due to a semi fire. 

The stretch of interstate was closed around noon as first responders dealt with the blaze. Eastbound travelers were diverted off the interstate and onto Highway 30 during the closure.

Around 2:30 p.m. the interstate was reopened. Nebraska 511 asks drivers to use caution while driving through the area. 

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
