Re-enactors plan campfire events at Lewis and Clark Center
Living history event celebrate builders of Wood River Fort Annex

NEBRASKA CITY- The Fort Wood complex at the Lewis and Clark Center at Nebraska City is hosting live re-enactors and come and go campfire events on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The living history event is lead by Thomas Hamilton, as well as senior staff at the center, as a thank you for those who helped with the Wood River Fort Annex project.
9 – 11 a.m. – fireside chats and demonstrations of early 1800s living skills
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – Chili and soup served in the center’s basement
12:30 to 5 p.m. – Marshmallow roast and smores in earth lodge
Butch Bovier is planning big booms from the cannon.
