JOHNSON, NE - It was all Johnson-Brock on Friday night as the Eagles hosted Elmwood-Murdock and picked up a 56-20 win over the Knights.

The Eagles' first drive started at the Elmwood-Murdock 33-yard-line and ended just two plays later when Hayden
Gravatt punched it into the end zone. Elmwood-Murdock had a quick three and out when they got the ball and on the following Johnson-Brock drive, the team needed just a single play to get back on the scoreboard with a 20-yard scamper from Gravatt to make it 14-0.

Wyatt Fulton tacked on a 3-yard quarterback sneak to push the host's lead to 22-0 before the visitors got on the scoreboard. Elmwood-Murdock got off the schneid with a short passing touchdown from Clayton Fletcher to Abraham Jones to make it 22-6. Elmwood-Murdock then gained some momentum on the following Johnson-Brock drive after they forced a fumble by Brody Koehler deep inside Elmwood-Murdock territory.

However, that momentum would not last long as Clayton Fletcher would fumble it back to Johnson-Brock on a big hit by Brody Koehler, setting the Eagles up with great field position. Johnson-Brock didn’t take long to score, finding pay dirt on the next play courtesy of a 15-yard option play by Fulton to make it 34-6.

Elmwood-Murdock would score two more times with Fletcher adding another TD toss & a TD run, while Johnson-Brock scored three more times via Gravatt to make the final score 56-20.

Unofficially, Johnson-Brock's Hayden Gravatt ended the night with 176 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Wyatt Fulton tacked on 67 rushing yards and two more scores. For Elmwood-Murdock, Abraham Jones had 86 receiving yards and a pair of TD's.

Elmwood-Murdock is now 2-3 as they prepare to host Falls City-Sacred Heart this week, and Johnson-Brock improves to 4-1 with a game at Freeman upcoming.
