Cass sheriff responds to roll-over, tracks stolen materials to Bellevue

PLATTSMOUTH - Cass County sheriff’s deputies responded to a roll-over accident near Elmwood and in a separate incident arrested a former Plattsmouth man for theft after serving a search warrant in Belleuve.
A sheriff’s office press release says a local contractor reported some building materials missing from a construction site on Lake Ridge Drive in the Beaver Lake area.
A sheriff’s office investigator identify the vehicle used in the theft and the vehicle located in Bellevue.
The press release says deputies found the stolen building materials at the residence on Wednesday.
Michael Stander, 55, is suspected of theft.
Sheriff William Brueggemann reported a rollover accident Saturday evening east of Bluff Road near Highway 1.
Deputies responding along with Elmwood Murdock Fire and Rescue and LifeNet.
A sheriff’s office press release says a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Cheer Heiden, 48, was heading eastbound on Highway 1. Heiden lost control and rolled and was ejected from the vehicle.
Witnesses told investigators that the vehicle was observed swerving off the road like the driver was trying miss something in the highway.
The press release says Heiden stated she could not remember the accident.
