Update: Nebraska City police a notice Friday morning of the capture of Joshua Fuller, 50, who is charged with a domestic assault that included serious injuries to a Nebraska City woman who was run over by a pickup truck.
NEBRASKA CITY - Police are searching for a Nebraska City man wanted in connection with the injury of his girlfriend at Park EZ trailer park Wednesday.
A police Facebook post says 50-year-old Joshua Fuller is wanted in connection with an 11 a.m. incident.
Police say they were called to the trailer park on a disturbance complaint. When they arrived witnesses told them that Fuller had been arguing with his girlfriend, who is mother of Fuller’s twin children. As he pulled away in a white 1995 Ford F-150 pickup the woman approached and ended up beneath the vehicle. Witnesses say she was run over by the driver's side, rear wheel.
Police Chief David Lacy said Fuller did not stop to render aid, but has since been contacted. Lacy says Fuller knows police want to speak with him, but he is not cooperating and his whereabouts are unknown to police.
Nebraska City Fire and Rescue took Shannon Robinson, 44, to CHI Health St. Mary’s and she was later taken by medical helicopter to Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. Lacy said Robinson remained in intensive care Thursday afternoon.
Fuller formerly of Red Oak and Council Bluffs, Iowa, is suspected of use of a weapon to commit a felony, domestic assault and failure to render aid.
An arrest affidavit says witnesses told police that Fuller looked into the rearview mirror of the truck, before leaving accleration marks on the pavement as he left the parking lot.
Fuller was previously charged with domestic assault on April 24. He was released from custody Nov. 23 after posting a $1,000 bond provision. As a condition of bond, he was to have no contact with Robinson.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact law enforcement.
