Van Catches Fire Near Nebraska City Library
No injuries were reported Monday when a passenger van caught fire in downtown Nebraska City
NEBRASKA CITY - There were significant flames in the engine compartment and the front tire exploded as firefighters arrived Monday afternoon on 10th Street near the Morton-James Public Library.
Firefighters were dispatched just after 2 p.m. for the fire in an Oldsmobile Silhouette Premiere van and used about 250 gallons to bring the fire under control.
Heat from the fire cracked the windshield and singed the window frame inside the driver's side door.
No injuries were reported.
