WYMORE - RBI's from Braden LaFollette, Kayden DeGolyer, Griffin Goering, Dalton Leefters, Micah Harvey and Owen Wander led to a seven-run third inning, and the Syracuse Junior Legion Baseball team defeated Wymore, 12-1, to finish the Class C Area Tournament unbeaten and advance to this weekend's state tournament at Tri County.

LaFollette, Goering, and Harvey each singled in the third inning. The Post 100 Juniors finished with 13 total hits in the game.

Cooper Carlson led Syracuse at the plate. He finished 3-3 with an RBI and three runs scored. Goering went 2-4 with four RBI's and a run scored. 

Carlson secured the win on the mound. He went four innings, allowed one run on one hit and struck out six.

The Class C State Legion Baseball Tournament is a double-elimination tournament and will run from July 20-24. Brackets were not official as of Wednesday morning.
