Plane Crash Lands Near Sidney, IA
Fremont County Sheriff's Office reports that St. Louis couple were uninjured

SIDNEY – The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office reports an emergency airplane landing Friday afternoon.
A press release says deputies arrived on the scene, about four miles north of Sidney, and found the plane in a pasture.
It had sustained front end and wing damage.
The sheriff’s office reports that the couple who were in the plane are from the St. Louis area and were uninjured.
The pilot reported that there was a mechanical problem before the plane crash landed.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by Sidney Fire and Rescue. The FAA is investigating.
